I’ve been lucky. My books have been fairly easy to write; I don’t stuck for long that often, and when I do, I can work it out easily. Even though I’ve written while busy–very busy, even, I’ve never written through truly extraordinary circumstances, and I’ve never pulled off any extraordinary tricks while writing except volume. Well, not like any of the writers of these books. All my books contain the letter e, I type my work, I wrote my first book at fifteen, and on and on and on. Still, I have to applaud the person who blinked an entire novel. I’d never have the patience to do it thanks to the need to retain the whole book in my head.
