An update on my writing progress

Remember how I was supposed to finish my pumpkin novel and work on planning my alternate worlds novel this month? That hasn’t happened. In fact, I’m still at a grand total of two hours of writing this month. But that’s okay because I have been challenged. Here’s the schedule for the next couple of weeks:

Saturday: twelve hours of work on my alternate worlds novel
Sunday: twelve hours of work on my alternate worlds novel
Next week: finish the novel
Next Saturday: twelve hours of work on the alternate worlds novel
Next Sunday: however many hours I need to finish NaNoEdMo, done in whatever form necessary

Crazy? Of course it is. Fun? Absolutely. Let’s do it.

Gee Sushi you’re driven! (I mean that in a good way!) I think it’s a good idea to set the goals. By comparison, mine are , well, what’s the word….. nevermind. I’ve set a goal to stop editing by the end of this month and start researching the publishing process in April.

What works for me is having a day to write – Saturday. I don’t have any more time than that in a week, but oh, I love my Saturdays (though I don’t think I could do twelve hours – how do you!!!)

Hang in there!

Lori

@Lori I’m a madwoman, apparently. My problem with having a day to just write is that there’s an entire day to just write and if my goal for that day is tiny, I put it off until the end of the day when I can slap the writing down in an hour or less. Maybe this is why I’m into wild writing marathons.

We’ll see how this twelve-hour editathon turns out.
