Some thoughts on writing in the Android WordPress app

Remember what I said about writing a blog post on the WordPress app? Well, the time finally arrived, though not in the way I expected. Curling up in bed is cozy, yes, but sometimes I’d rather type on a real keyboard.

And before you worry, I’m fine. Really. Some thoughts on writing this thing in bed and maybe I’ll shut up about this. (That was a joke, haha, fat chance.)

First, Swyping is really hard when you’re lying down. You have to wave your finger around and hold the phone with the other. This is harder than it sounds. Maybe there’s a coordination exercise hidden in here somewhere. I’ll get on that…after my wrists rest.

I promise I’m just as fascinated by other things as I appear to be by this thing.

Once thing I really miss about WordPress in this app is the word count. This should be unsurprising to you Wrimos. I rely on that thing. It’s how I measure whether my posts are long enough. That aside, you can do just about everything you need to do in here WordPress-wise like attach pics, add categories, and well, write posts, so I’m not disappointed. I just wish there a way to view Google Analytics stats via the WordPress stats viewer. But beggars can’t be choosers.
