Remember this summer when Craigslist slapped Padmapper with a cease and desist? Padmapper recovered the Craiglist listings with a third party API and didn’t get slapped with another C&D, but that didn’t stop Craigslist from rolling their own map view for housing listings. The map view is only as good as the addresses in the individual listings and isn’t as comprehensive as competitors like Padmapper, which pull from other apartment search sites. Still, this view is a start to a feature Craigslist should have implemented long before Padmapper and other competitors saw and solved the problem.
